As was expected, Cingular Wireless has launched the Motorola L2. This phone is still flying under the radar from normal consumer channels and is only available at this time for business and government employees. This frees up the SLVR as the primary option for wireless consumers. The Motorola L2 is basically a Moto SLVR L6 without all the bells and whistles, we like to call it SLVR-less. They have eliminated features that many businesses are now enacting corporate policies against -- cameras and music players.

Motorola L2 features include:
Bluetooth Wireless Support
Quad-band radio capable
Speakerphone Built-in
128 × 160, 65K Color CSTN screen display

Cingular is now selling the new Motorola L2 for $117 with a contract, if purchased through their Business to Business (B2B) sales channel.
